School-kindergarten  “Saulute”

School-kindergarten “Saulute”provides the preperatory pre-school education and primary education. 283 children attend our institution. There are:

• a nursery group children 2-3 years old;
• 5 kindergarten groups children 3-6 years old;
• 3 pre-school education groups: children 6-7 years old;
• 4 primary education class, from second till forth, children 7-11 years old;

In the project “Our mile” participate:

1st form children and the teacher Jolanta, 2end form children and the teacher Vanda, 3rd form children and the teacher Ilona, 4th form children  and teacher Vaidute

Implementing the primary educational program we give one’s attention to development children creative abilities, self-expression, to using active educational methods. Children have chance to learn early foreign language except general school subjects. Early foreign language teaching starts at the second form. Children can attend additional educational lessons.

Creative, intelligent, dutiful, flexible educators work at our school.

The general school’s aim is – to develop child like a person, which could change his life in the changeable world, his ambitions to improve, to tackle problems by self-expression. We hope this  project will help to make our early English teaching results better and we’ll integrate it into different school subjects. We’ll understand more similarities and differences for other countries and cultures. Enhancing working in a cooperative way and using discovery learning for the pupils will be important. Pupil will use ICT.

LOCATION

Klaipeda district is located at the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. Convenient geographic position of Klaipeda region, neighborhood of busy business and industry center and sea port – Klaipeda – is beneficial for the region's infrastructure, business development and investment. Administrative centre – Gargždai. The town occupies the area of 885,2 ha and has 15 108 inhabitants. Gargždai is by the Baltic Sea about 18 km. off the Klaipeda’s port.

GARGŽDAI

– the centre of the Klaipeda district

Historical „footprints“ of administrative center of Klaipeda region – Gargždai town – are traced down to 1253. They lead from Samogitian customs town of the XVI century to Gargždai homestead cherished by barons Rönne and “bloomed” in the XIX centrury and moments of existence of Gargždai district center of the 1^st half of the XX century. Gargždai was situated by the beautiful river Minija.
